We have PAT certificates for all our electric equipment & the band have full public liability cover through the Musician's Union which is a common requirement in most venues today.

Welcome to the ultimate party and function band!

Stax are an experienced, 6 piece cover band, ready to perform live music in every venue. Based in Hertfordshire, Stax is available for your party, function or wedding in London, as well as the neighbouring counties. With female and male vocals, Stax covers a wide range of repertoire, therefore we are much in demand as a party band or wedding band.
Prestigious venues include the London Aquarium, Ashridge in Berkhamsted, Cambridge University, Fawsley Hall, Brocket Hall and the Mansion House in Rickmansworth, to name a few. But don't get the impression we do not like the smaller venues - we've created tremendous parties in the smallest pubs!

With 5 (five!) lead singers in the band we can assure a varied repertoire of live music with rich harmonies, which comprises the best of soul, reggae, disco and even some ska!

Usually we play three 45 minutes sets, but of course we are flexible to accomodate special requirements. If required, we play cd's with special selected party music in in the breaks through our PA - no need to hire a DJ!
